According to the current status, the majority of candidates who are applying for IBPS clerk, probationary officer recruitment are B-Tech (Engineering) graduates and most of them are still not aware of whether they can apply or not for the IBPS clerk recruitment while they are in the final semester or year of their B-Tech courses. I’m Doing My B-Tech Final Year (7th or 8th Semester), Am I Eligible For Applying IBPS Recruitment 2013-2014 ?.
The firms which recruit B-Tech students usually select even if the candidates are doing their final year or semester of their courses, that is one of the reasons why B-Tech students think that course pursuing not matters for IBPS recruitment. But actually it matters a lot. Since the minimum qualification for the IBPS recruitment is graduation, they need your B-Tech degree certificates at the time of interview.
You can apply online for IBPS recruitment and write the IBPS exam even though you are doing your B-Tech final year since you need not submit any proofs regarding your B-Tech graduation neither at the time of IBPS registration nor while you in the exam hall. But if you have passed the IBPS exam and called for the next phase which is an interview, the panel will ask you to submit all the documents of your educational qualification to verify. So, if you are doing your final year B-Tech at the time of IBPS online registration, it is not possible to submit the original degree certificate at the time of interview and you will be rejected by the IBPS interview panel.
