Eligibility Criteria Of SBI PO Exam 2014
The lower age limit is 21 years and the upper age limit is 30 years as on 01-04-2014. Candidates must have been born in between 02-04-1984 and 01-04-1993 (Inclusive of both dates). Reserved candidates will get the age relaxation in the upper age limit.
Educational Qualifications (As On 10-08-2014)
Graduation from a recognized university is the minimum educational qualification required to apply for SBI PO exam 2014. Final year candidates can also apply for the exam, but they must produce the proof of having passed the graduation on or before 10-08-2014 at the time of personal interview.
Mode Of Selection
The selection procedure consist of two phases.
Phase I consist of an objective test for 200 marks and a descriptive test for 50 marks. Objective test is online exam with 2 hours duration which consist of four sections namely English language, General awareness, Data analysis and interpretation and Reasoning. There will be separate cutoff marks for each section. The descriptive test is a paper or pen mode exam with one hour duration and it will be test of English language. The test will consist of comprehension, short precis, letter writing and essay. Descriptive test will be only evaluated if the candidate secured qualifying marks in the objective test.
Phase II consist of group discussion for 20 marks and personal interview for 30 marks.The qualifying marks in the group discussion and personal interview will be decided by the bank
The final phase of selection is based on the general merit list. Mark secured by the candidate in Phase I will be converted to out of 75 and the mark secured in Phase II will be converted to out of 25. The final merit list will be released by aggregating the marks out of 100 and the selection will be made from the top merit ranked candidates.
